The Mama Circle

Welcome to

A women’s group for new mums to share, find authentic connection and feel supported in navigating motherhood.

Becoming a mum is amazing. But it can also be really hard.

You’ve made it through pregnancy and birth. Amidst the nappy changes, feeds, hormonal fluctuations and inevitable sleep deprived nights, there’s the realisation that everything has changed.

You.

Your body.

Your relationship.

Maybe even your entire purpose.

They say it takes a village to raise a child, but the mama needs one too.

This isn’t your standard mama-baby group. This is a women’s circle where real, raw and unfiltered truth can be shared, safe in the knowledge that there is no judgement or ‘well-meant’ advice allowed.

No matter how you birthed or whether your baby sleeps five hours a night or two, becoming a mum has universal themes like:

Google becoming your best friend as you question everything from is this poop colour normal to obsessively researching how to avoid SIDS.

Missing out on the spontaneous cappuccino and carrot cake catch-ups with friends.

Doing things you swore you’d never do in exchange for peace, space or a nap.

The shift in relationships with your partner, family and/or friends.

Looking at your body in the mirror and how pregnancy, birth and (if applicable) breastfeeding has changed it.

Being so in love with the new human in your life while your world has turned upside-down.

Its easy to think you’re alone. Until you share it and realise there are so many other women feeling the same way.

The Mama Circle is a space to say the things you can’t to your partner, family or friends. A place to process your thoughts and harness your inner wisdom through intentional sharing.

“My first time in the mama circle was when my baby was 12 days old. Being able to share my experience with other moms from the very beginning has helped me to organise my thoughts about motherhood. Being able to express yourself and not get any judgment or advice is kind of a therapy. Also, hearing that other moms go more or less through the same struggles relieves mind is a feeling of “you are not alone” - Natalia

Here’s how The Mama Circle works

The Circles take place over 6 sessions and is be a closed group build greater trust. The group is for new mums (first timers and multiple timers welcome!) with babies up to 12 months old. Your baby is naturally welcome!

The Rule
The Mama Circles draw on the principles of listening partnerships and women’s circles meaning that no advice is allowed to be given, no judgements are to be made and everything shared in the circle, stays in the circle unless express permission is given. This rule allows you to truly share and foster deep connections with others.

The Process
Circles will be guided by me, covering set topics relevant to motherhood such as the transition to motherhood, the birth, sexual intimacy, body image changes etc. Each woman will have a set time-frame to share on the topic to allow everyone the opportunity to take part and hear from others in the group.

Hey, I’m Nat.

Becoming a first-time mum has been a huge privilege and a challenge. Like many pregnant women, I devoured podcasts and books, yet none truly prepared me for what it actually felt like. The contradictions, the changes, the simultaneous fulfilment and loss.

These circles have been created from a desire to connect and share from an authentic place with people who ‘get it’. As a women’s circle facilitator, coach and yoga teacher, I know first-hand how powerful intentional spaces can be. I can’t wait to welcome you in as you navigate this epic journey of motherhood so you can feel fully supported.
